The CyberDream

The farther in time we seem to be in, the more and more this picture seems to almost be a reality. Who would've thought in the early 1900’s that we would have mechanical prosthetics, and here we are now. Cybernetics only seem to be at hands reach. Neurological implants that can cure disabilities is almost here. What is our next step?

Before, blocky clunky people were part realistic games, nothing could beat it. Now the concept of virtual reality is indeed a reality. Living in the game with no perception on what’s real and what’s fake is only at arms reach.

My personal computer combined with a gameboy

1989 felt like its peak for gaming. Playing while on the go? That was UNHEARD of. My laziness went through the rough. Now I didn’t need to leave my bed in order to game. Have I gone backwards? my computer has the gaming capacity of more then a hundred Gameboys, however, I am restrained to the confines of a desk and chair? I’ve lost the mobility I once loved. Is this love still at reach? Or are we slowly getting less and less mobile?

The Cyber life… Is it really what we want? Do we need this technology in order to make the life we live better? Or will it just keep dividing us as we do today. Is it a matter of an ease of life? These enhancements or advancements are scary to think of because of the power it can bring. When will we meet our wall, our standstill. Will we stop?
